Building HPHTO has been one of the most challenging yet rewarding experiences of my life. It has taught me that with a clear vision and the willpower to pursue it, anything is possible. Along the way, I’ve witnessed the incredible power of teamwork—working alongside passionate individuals has shown me how diverse perspectives can lead to truly innovative solutions. As a doctor, I’ve come to realize that meaningful change doesn’t start in a hospital; it starts in the community. Together, we’re not just chasing a goal—we’re creating a culture of resilience and inspiring others to join us in making a lasting impact.

Since 2022, my absolute favorite project was the fundraiser carried in Tanzania. We collaborated with the Tanzanian Medical Students Association as well as Rotaract clubs but most importantly we invited a famous national artist by the name of Niyas. The workshop was a creative one with positive connotations that helped a little child pay for her medications. I hope that HPHTO continues to create change worldwide!

As a healthcare professional, Advocating for health problems was not only a passion of mine but i always feel like its an obligation as well since it’s just as important as treating people. I joined HPHTO because i believe it’s mission aligns with what true healthcare systems should be about. Which is not only treating people educating them and raising awareness in important matters as well. As head of external affairs connecting with other medical personnel that are as passionate for the cause as much as i am was one of my favorite parts. Hopefully we’ll be able to reach more people and change more lives one project at a time.

As the treasurer and a member of the executive board, I’ve had the opportunity to see firsthand how much impact we can make when passionate people come together for a cause. Managing the finances gives me a clear view of how every donation and contribution gets put to work in meaningful ways. I joined this organization because I believe in its mission and wanted to do more than just talk about change I wanted to help make it happen. It’s been a rewarding experience to work with such a committed team and see the direct impact we’re having on the community.
